Every Other Day Diet Review

Overview

The Every Other Day Diet is an ebook that is designed to tap into body fat for fuel, and reduce calories without having the body lower its metabolic rate.

The diet is built around the concept of interval eating or planned variance eating. Interval eating is a way of calorie cycling that tricks your body into believing that calories are not being restricted when they in fact are.

In order to successfully follow the Every Other Day Diet, the diet creator, Jon Benson, requires that you adhere to three main principles: You must be dedicated, you must be willing to engage in some form of exercise and you must be reasonable about the pace of your weight loss journey.

There are three versions of the Every Other Day Diet : The Primer, Maintenance and Extreme program. The ebook contains an instructive comparison chart to help you identify the plan that meets your weight loss and health needs.

Diet

The Every Other Day Diet takes a weekly approach to dieting rather than a daily one. The reason for this method is to keep your metabolism guessing and going. By adhering to the specific diet plan and tips, you can indulge in your favorite foods like pizza and brownies but only at select times and lose weight.

The Every Other Day Diet also suggests that you follow certain diet tips like going to bed just a little on the hungry side (not starving), avoiding all soda, including diet soda and eating raw vegetables at night and for snacks throughout the day.

On the Every Other Day Diet, you cycle back and forth between eating slightly more calories than your body requires (Feed Days) and eating less calories than your body needs (Burn Days). After seven days of eating like this, you will consume less calories that you normally do, therefore losing weight but without the expense of lowering your metabolism. Every day involves eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and an evening detox meal. On Burn Days, you are allowed an additional snack.

In order to avoid the discomfort of hunger pangs on days when your calories are cycled low, consuming foods that are rich in potassium, calcium and magnesium are recommended.

The Every Other Day Diet also teaches simple portion control strategies and it does not require that you count calories. Instead, on Burn Days, you are encouraged to eat tons of raw or slightly cooked vegetables, vegetable juice and lean protein, like egg whites. The ebook also comes with recipes, weekly newsletters and access to motivational and instructive success stories.

Exercise

The Every Other Day Diet ebook comes with the “7 Minute Body,” which contains the “7-Minute Muscle” and “The 7-Minute In-Home Workout.”

Rather than spending hours on the treadmill, the Every Other Day Diet encourages you to do nine to fifteen minutes of “fasting cardio” each morning as a way to stoke your metabolism and force your body to dip into its fat storages for fuel.

Brisk walking is also encouraged a few times week.
