Diet
The Joy Bauer Diet food plan begins with a stringent 1300 calorie menu for the first week. The menu is balanced with a good combination of vegetables, grains and proteins. There is little room for indulging this first week, but it’s designed to create impressive results that spur you on to greater things. You add more calories and a bigger variety of foods after the first week, and continue that way until you reach your goal. There are hundreds of recipes offered to fit in with many tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Exercise
You are given a custom fitness plan based on your favorite ways to exercise and your beginning level of fitness. There are dozens of types of exercises to choose from in the beginning, but the basic plan explains core moves and exercises to do each day. This weight loss plan expects you to exercise 30 minutes every day as a part of your daily goals.

If you are a fan of The Today Show and know and respect Joy Bauer, this plan may be the one for you. While the plan has nothing special to separate itself from the weight loss crowd, it should do what it’s intended to do if you stick with it.
